Ready to Rock Ministock?

Ministock is just around the corner, and with it comes excitment at the Lonely Mountain Band! This is the big event to get ready for Weatherstock. We are forming up our teams and will be running Ministock as though it were Weatherstock, with 30 minute sets from LMB bands and sneak peaks at all the bands for Weatherstock with 5 minute sound checks as we get all bands ready to rock the stock!

We will be rehearsing every aspect of Weatherstock, and as Weatherstock is an epic event, Ministock is an epic rehearsal!

Teams:
We have four teams to join:
Security: Escorts and travel, bird control, troll watch
Stage Crew: Special Effects, musical assistance, roadies
Freakout Zone (FOZ): Help desk, Public Service Announcements, First Aid
Vending: Ale, Pipeweed, Hope Tokens

If you'd like to join in with a band, speak with the band leader. Make sure you show up an hour early for practice.

This is a very long rehearsal, just like Weatherstock is a very long event, so just like Weatherstock plan ahead. Make sure you have plenty of liquids and a bit of pie. This is five hours from initial sign up to Open Mic in Bree, and who knows how long that will go on to!

This is Ministock! And it is a very exclusive party. Rub elbows with the Rock Stars of Middle Earth, and be privy to all the back stage preparations. This will get all of us ready to put on this epic event. You are part of something very special--Weatherstock Forever!

Here are pictures from the rehearsal. Since I was busy running the stage I didn't take pictures when the actual stage rehearsal was run. Instead I have a ton of horse procession going on, . I left all of those in, maybe you will find yourself in the pictures and can use them for something. Feel free to copy any picture that you like.

We had a great time and the bands developed a nice sense of community and they were very patient with everything that could be developed only at the summit (like band placing for the Battle of the Bands) and I would like to thank everyone for their patience. I also would like to thank everyone who showed up and helped with the rehearsal. Without you this would not have been possible.

Instead of naming names which I would forget some anyway, I want to give a praise to our leader who led the event, and those who led teams and those who volunteered in whatever way in order to make Ministock the success it was.

And a special tip `O the hat to those few who gave an extra percentage by doing a ton of legwork leading up to the event. Weatherstock is gonna be well oiled this year.

I stopped by ministock, partly to work on getting my last publicity bit in place, and have to admit I was amazed at the assortment of talented folks on hand. Only stayed for the first half, but it was truely impressive.

Despite playing since beta, and been around off and on since then and have heard of Weatherstock over the years, seen the youtube videos, etc I never had the opportunity to make it to it.

But, after seeing how Ministock went, I am looking forward to the full thing! If my graphics card doesnt explode that is!
