Hollyberye - You'll help me with this?
The Opera Reel is 30 seconds long...
If you want to give me the musical brief I can hunt for suitable tracks at the desired tempo and length. |
"The Celebrated Opera Reel" is NOT the music that will be used. The piece we are using is "Polovtsian Dances". I have prepared a raw file that could be used in a pinch, even if it is not ideal. It may be found here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3RSBgvadIaLTEtUdDl4dUxPSzQ/edit?usp=sharing
This one has seven parts, though the intent is for an 8 part final, though if either of these is too many, I could consolidate the flute and clarinet parts and bring it down to 5-6, though I would prefer to avoid this at all possible.
As for uniforms, I am not going to insist on anything in particular, as long as it is somewhat formal and tasteful. However, the team is wearing the "Enduring Wildermore Armor of Combat" which Kiralynn has on Wardrobe Street; if you are okay with this, I would suggest a version with red dye, which I would be happy to provide if it is needed.

What is the final word on scheduling? I'd love to get the advertisements out soon. Thanks!

Kiralynn, I didn't realize that you were waiting on me. I have not heard from everyone, but I will hazard to guess that 30 minutes will not make a difference. I would say go ahead. I am sorry for holding up the works.
Also, routine is done. The remaining part should be fairly easy to learn. The routine is 1:37 shorter than the music I submitted, but that directly overlaps with one of the weaker movements, so it should be fairly easy to remove that section. I will try to have the diagrams up by tomorrow evening.

Yes please, Lilikate! I believe the piece requires 6 musicians but plays optimally with 8. This segment of the SRC is 30 minutes long. Thank you so much!
Great news, Craicwyth! I can't wait to see the show! If y'all like, we can film the routine after the SRC.

Would you care for Andune to fill the rest of that time slot with suitable music?

I believe so, but I'll leave the final word on this to Craicwyth. This is his show.

Here are the final two pages; I have included a link to download a document file containing both pages as well:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3RSBgvadIaLRWg4Q1hSbmladnc/edit?usp=sharing
Notes:
-The pace switches from a walk to a trot between maneuvers 3 and 4.
-The turning point at the end of maneuver 5 is at column 1.5 on the North-South Wall; this is also the latitude for the meeting in maneuver 9.
-Only three quarters of the perimeter of the field is covered in maneuver 7.
-The final turn of Maneuver 10 occurs at column 2.5.
-Unlike the previous iteration, maneuver 14 is only completed once.

Just a reminder -- if you practice TWO days a week, you have 8 practices left before the Spring Racing Carnival.

Here is a chart that will hopefully clarify some questions concerning maneuvers five and six on page four:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3RSBgvadIaLcGpGS19rMnNvYzQ/edit?usp=sharing
Downloading the file I attached and viewing it at 200% zoom may help.
First, note that the turn to the center should begin by post 2 and be completed by post 2.5
The turn away from center begins just before the center line for the lead rider and just after the last pillar for the rear rider.
The (former) rear rider should aim for just above column 2. The (former) lead rider should aim for column 2.5
The (former) rear rider should turn right before she reaches column three. The (former) lead rider should possibly turn before reaching the final pillar before the side field gates, though this may be in error. Additionally, she should turn before reaching column 2.
Hope this helps.

Hi guys...I hate to do this, but I'm stuck working again tonight. I have off next week though, so I swear I will be there for Tues/Wed/Sat, and any extra practices you call.

No, do not worry about it. I have a lot of confidence in you, and things will be okay. Because of the Hpbnanigans this weekend, we will not be able to practice. However, if you want to work with me on Monday, or on Tuesday before practice, let me know. Also, will you be able to attend a short practice on Friday?
