re: The Spring Quickfoot (Quickfeet!!) Wedding 3-23-13

On a beautiful Spring afternoon, the Lonely Mountain Band and many other guests were witness to the joining of Tearna Fairchild and Tamoro Quickfoot in matrimony, with a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony. At a gorgeous setting on the gazebo on Pierson's Farm South of Bree, amongst the swaying Spring flowers and apple orchards, the crowd gathered around the buzzing of the bees and the light scent of lavender and honey slightly wafting in the air. The pale blue sky was in stark contrast against fierce looking clouds that brought a gentle, cooling breeze as the guests swayed and danced like trees in the wind.
Andune started the very musical night off with some lovely tunes, mixing in slow dances with some up-beat jigs that kept the dancing lighthearted and fun. Geoffri, Byrcha, Mornawen, Floradine, Aalloria, and Lilikate shared their talents as a gift to the wonderful couple, and everyone celebrated in song. Harperella led the dancing, coordinating both line and circle dances. The guests and the band were dressed to-the-nines in every shade of color and style of dress, a fine rainbow of merry-making.
Following several circle dances, everyone partnered up for a line dance, and then everyone joined together in a circle symbolizing their everlasting love as a couple. The band, Brightstar, then took over the musical rejoicing, and played the background music for the official ceremony, as well as a special song from Tamoro and Tearna themselves. The Best Man, Bertrus of the Lonely Mountain Band, and the Maid of Honor of Animal House, officiates the Hobbit Wedding as the magnificent couple exchanged their vows. Many a tear was shed upon hearing their fondness for one another, and the joy they bring to each other's lives.
Bertrus announced the couple as Mr. and Mrs. Tamoro Quickfoot (Quickfeet!!) and everyone joined them in a few more delightful dances. In grand Hobbit tradition, the couple handed out delicious treats, firesnappers, and refreshing drinks to all their guests, as everyone lined up to wish the couple their very best, and to give gifts of their own....many a pie changed hands on this picturesque occasion.
Animal House started the after party with a modern and upbeat set, as the dancing and partying went on for quite a while following the ceremony. Nightmagic, WickedJfc, Nightchade, LastritesJfc, and Nightjasmine played well into the night, as the Sun set behind the mountains of the Barrows, and the stars rose in striking celebration for such a wonderful night.
While many outsiders don't understand, the community of Landroval, with their compassion, friendliness, and sharing in special moments like tonight....it becomes more than a game, and transcends the fiction and becomes a reality where people from all over the world come together in merriment and joy, sharing extraordinary times like we all did on March 23rd at the wedding of Tearna and Tamoro Quickfoot (Quickfeet!!)
