Mistion is the son of a minor nobleman from the far west of Gondor. His father, Maladin, fought under Boromir until his death a year ago as he returned home from campaign. Around him were the bodies of strange Orcs with the White Hand insignia upon them. Mistion applied, and was granted, leave from his household duties by the Steward of Gondor so he could travel north and investigate the growing darkness as well as examine what strength remains in Eriador.
