Hullo there!

Over on LOTRO Players we are fast approaching the start of the fellowship walk. A part of our fundraising for Child's Play are our real life auctions. These can consist of real world items or in this instance in-game services.

We are asking for donations of services to auction, from a cosmetic fashion makeover to music lessons to crafting. Is there anything you can offer?

Already donated a music lesson. A concert might be possible too but will need cooperation from a few others if another server wins it. Or we limit it.

Of course, this should be a LMB effort as we don't know what time the winners would want.

How does LMB feel about this - want to commit?

I would not participate in any concerts, should Andune choose to offer that as an auction item.

Thanx Lilikate for making this thread. Sorry I have been absent from the forums lately. Helping sick kids is taking all my spare time after the real world.

Thanx Keli for offering the music lesson for our auctions. Any other donations would be greatly accepted from anyone who is willing to help us out. There is no pressure to do so though.

Just for those who are not aware of the charity, Child's Play, here is a very quick run down.

Child's Play was founded by Penny Arcade in 2003 and is listed as a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games. They are currently operating in 70 hospitals world wide.

Although Penny Arcade themselves have had quite a lot of bad press in the past, the organisers of the Walk felt that to not support the charity would hurt the children. The Fellowship Walk is strictly about the children in hospital and giving them a better quality of life while they are there. Penny Arcade does not see any of the money we raise nor have anything to do with the day to day running of the charity.

We are currently looking for donations of music lessons on any servers, fashion makeovers, skirmishes or any other service you think you can provide. We will also accept crafting items and 1st/2nd age Legendary weapons. Anything we can use to auction or as prizes for our Trivia competitions. Also if you have some time and would like to be a Tourist guide during the walk, please let either Lilikate or myself know.

We are doing this for the kids and we appreciate everything everyone has done so far, from donating music, through to their time to make this walk the best it can be.

I am very happy to announce that I am able to donate the following items to the project that I received today:

- A Riders of Rohan expansion pack
- A Mithril Edition of the game
- A Riders of Rohan Soundtrack CD

All items were gifted to me by Mr. Egbert Latza, German Product Manager at Warner Brothers. The German player council members got these items at this year's Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

Mysteri I will give you the exact specififications of the items later today via email.

I have to say that I am very proud that we have so many people helping this charity in our community and that Mysteri took the load of all the work that has to be done to run it. You guys make it easy to help and draw others into it all :)
