Tolkien, C.S. Lewis and a few other lesser known authors used to meet on Tuesdays in the Rabbit Room of The Eagle & Child pub, from 1939-1962. Today I ate in that very room with my wife, mother in law and 2 kids. In this room some of the early drafts of what would become The Chronicles of Narnia and our beloved LOTR story line were read in this very room for the critique of fellow peers!

The food wasn't bad, but I had something fairly simple - grilled chicken sandwich with smoked paprika and lemon mayo. I had a Strawberry & Lime cider from Sweden and it was really good.
