No problems here. Frodo seems the most farfetched, but as a timestamp to go back into Bilbos advantures, I can see it.
I hope there are not too many impossible fighting scenes where amazing exploits are done by our heroes with nary a hair mussed.

well, there's going to be Bard's one-in-a-million arrow shot at a flying dragon with a scale missing in his belly - but other than that, I expect rather exciting and adventurous battles with goblins and wargs...and my favorite
the spiders of mirkwood! KILL THOSE SPIDERS!!! BWAHAHHAHAHAHA!
*so says Andeon, spider-slayer enthusiast!*

HA!
I seem to remember putting forth the possibility of Legolas appearing in the movies (even as just a cameo) some time ago on the forums, and was promptly shot down as being less than probable.
Not too far fetched now is it? ;)

Sorry, couldn't control myself.
All in all, I'm pleased with the cast as it (potentially) stands. I'm also glad that Christopher Lee will be reprising his role as Saruman, and showing his fall from grace. Also, with Elijah Wood appearing as Frodo, I wonder if they are going to use him, or Bilbo as the 'narrator'. I actually hoped/still hope it would be Ian Holm providing the narration, since it was his (Bilbo's) story after all.
And what about the Great Goblin?
