re: Andeon and Company

Andeon, son of Danor, Captain of Men, born of the town of Dale in the shadow of the Lonely Mountain. Andeon is the oldest of three children, his younger brother Aedden, and his youngest sister, Alendra. Even at a young age, Andeon's strength of purpose and resolve drew others to him, and it was from childhood companions and ancient family friends that he drew together a fellowship of adventurous souls.

As he grew older, so too did the world beyond the Lonely Mountain. Shadow crept back into the forest of mirkwood, and the cracks and crags of the misty mountains, and in his youth, Andeon perceived that the great war between good and evil was gathering in his lifetime. Rumours reached as far as Dale, of trouble in the far west, and of a great and ancient evil returning to the blasted land of Angmar.

Unwilling to wait for the shadow to fester and grow till it reached as far as his own home, Andeon set out with his companions; Andreya, a childhood friend, a shieldmaiden of Rohan; Cromin, a dwarf that had been friends with his grandfather, a champion of dwarven prowess; Selendra, an elf of mirkwood that claimed to have known his family line since the days men first step foot in the shadow of the lonely mountain; and Ceradan, a dour elf from the forest of mirkwood, discontent with the stale and sedentary lifestyle near the Lonely Mountain.

But closest of all is the strangely silent Selantha - a girl befriended by Andeon in her earliest years, she has ever been at his side, and as he began to adventure throughout the regions near Bree, it was she that first believed that he would be a great leader of men. She fashioned his banner, and carries it with her everywhere he goes, and has taken up skills at arms to defend him. More than once, she has pushed him to safety as she stayed behind to guard him, and yet somehow always returns to him. To others, she rarely speaks, but Andeon claims that when alone, it is nearly impossible to shut her up.

These four (five, sorta) traveled with Andeon, across the dangerous passes of the misty mountains, until they were set upon and scattered by bandits.

Andeon fought his way free, with the aid of the doomed ranger Amdir, and rejoined his fellows once again. It was while beginning his adventures near the village of Bree, that Andeon came to know a minstrel named Galenswerd, whose vision in the shadow of the Lonely Mountain had called him to gather a Kinship of fellows and friends. Drawn almost mystically by the bond of the Lonely Mountain, Andeon set his sword to the service of Galenswerd, and fought for the Lonely Mountain Band for some time, even going so far as to lay low the great lord of Fornost in a grueling campaign that lasted weeks (literally).

After the victory, Andeon continued to adventure for a time, but the siege upon the fortress of Fornost had struck Andeon's spirit more deeply than he knew, and in short time, his spirit began to fail. Rather than allow his gloom to set upon his fellows, he set back along the lonely road back home, to dwell in the town of Dale, hoping somehow to find comfort, and rest, in the familiar places.

And slowly, he began to heal his wounds of the spirit - he walked the dark corridors of the Lonely Mountain, strolled the streets of the town of Dale, even stayed in the court of Thranduil. But soon, the spiders and goblins of mirkwood began to be restless...howls in the misty mountains could be heard, and Andeon began to percieve that the threat that had driven him to leave his home, was drawing nearer with every day that passed. Strangely, it was the threat, more than the rest, that finally solidified his resolve, and with new hope and sense of purpose, Andeon set forth, back along the path through the misty mountains, to return to Eriador, and face the evils there.

Ironically, he was set upon by bandits once again...after laying a dozen of their number low, and scattering the rest, he took one of their horses, and wandered his way back to Bree in style. Worried, but hopeful, Andeon set out to find the minstrel Galenswerd, and was pleasantly surprised to see that, unlike many, Galenswerd had grown greatly in both skill and renown, and that the Lonely Mountain Band thrived still. Andeon once again offered his sword and service to the kind minstrel, and was accepted, and has since found new purpose, family, and hope, amongst the brave souls of the Lonely Mountain Band!

Andeon's *companions* (read alts) are Selendra, Andreya, Cromin, and Ceradan (feel free to contact any of them if you need to contact Andeon) and all are somewhere in their 20's

I currently play weekdays late PST ('round midnite to 2 or 3 am), and weekends saturdays, and alternate sundays

Andeon himself is currently adventuring in eregion, goblin town, and has just opened the doors to Moria, and is looking forward to his adventures there - He is also leading Sunday Night Siege, which is a gathering of fellowship(s) to foray into powerful strongholds of the enemy (our current destinations are Carn Dum and Urugarth, although changes may open up a larger range of destinations)
