Ales and Tales @ The Party Tree 04/12/10

As is standard, lately, a large festive crowd turned out in this third week of the Spring festival, including a healthy turnout from my good friends from The Sons of Numenor! Hail and well met, brothers.



Valaraein started things off with a little bit of music.



As darkness fell, the always stylishly dressed Sons of Numenor were in full socializing mode!



Javelarry told a story of a post-hobbit attacked viciously by squirrels! An onlooker: A mysterious chicken named "Erikr." Hmm



Yet more tales!



This one with THRILLING twists and turns! Where do you hobbits LEARN this stuff?!



I think maybe he was scared to death!



And then, of course, more dancing.

Wonderful times to be had, with wonderful company.

[Harperella]

Ales and Tales came to the Hobbiton in the Shire this week...



We had a large turnout once again, with

Adelo, Andongar, Astleigh, Benjimir, Brandlaff, Brandlaff, Dagylva, Daffodillia, Diamiond, Diancecht, Dovie, Eohgar, Florella, Foedred, Freyjanna, Glorenthir, Grimbald, Harperella, Heatherleaf, Hollyanna, Javelarry, Kaleigh, Keptwise, Kiarane, Knickinnic, Lennidhren, Lufundric, Lumesia, Lyonardo, Maclypse, Marmadil, Moirweyn, Olalie, Plumberry, Ramblis, Rixi, Sidarin, Spartanias, Thoriann, Tombatuk, Valaraein, and a chicken named ~Erikr...

We had some great tales with a poem and scary story by Knickinnic and a squirrely tale of the Quick-post by Javelarry.



We had our usual stellar performance by the Eriador Music Society, consisting of Astleigh, Diamiond, Dovie, Heatherleaf, Keptwise, and Lyonardo. They kept our toes tapping for several dance tunes, including a ladies choice dance. Turula gave a public service announcement that all adventurers should remove their weapons so as not to cause any injuries. Javelarry was grudgingly parted with his beloved javelins (though he tried to sneak a few back on throughout the night). We had some out of town visitors as well. A big Ales and Tales welcome to Lennidhren, who stayed up past her bedtime to attend our event.

As the night wore on, we talked our way poast Lobelia and Otho Sacksville-Baggins. Javelarry has delivered a letter from Bilbo in Rivendell promising to reveal his secret stash of gold if she let us in. Personally, I think the letter was a little fishy, but it was postmarked from Rivendell...



We had some lovely solo performances in this intimate setting, with performances by Florella, Harperella, and Astleigh.







All in all, a wonderful evening of song, dance, drink, and tales! Next week we'll be at the kinhall of Axes and Ales.
