Aiya Friends!
I joined last night at the Open House for Falathlorn Day. My name is Gaiagil Melodwen, and I was visiting Landroval from Elendilmir where my characters have dance emotes! I hope you enjoy my biography!

Gaiagil Melodwen is the daughter of Maglor, the famed minstrel and third son of Fëanor, developer of the Tengwar and forger of the Silmarils. She studied under Daeron, Thingol’s Loremaster in Doriath. During her early years, she spoke only quenya to prepare herself for her work as a Loremaster. Her apprenticeship with Daeron was cut short, however, when Thingol discovered Fëanor’s slaying of the Teleri and the stealing of their ships. It was then that Thingol banned the speaking of quenya in Middle Earth. Gaiagil begged the king to reconsider his ban. Melian interceded for Gaiagil and convinced her husband to accept quenya as the language of Loremasters, but Thingol exiled Gaiagil, so he would never have to hear it again. Her cousin, Galadriel, gave Gaiagil a home in Lórien, but Gaiagil, because of the shadow of Fëanor, decided to wander to gather the lore and languages of different peoples. In her wanderings, she stumbled upon a merry crew of musicians and dancers who gave her much ale and asked her to join them. Since Gaiagil knew she would learn much from the lore gathered by the Lonely Mountain Band, she accepted their lovely invitation. Though she did not inherit her father's minstrel skills, she does know how to tell a tale and write a poem now and then. I hope she will add much to your kinship.

Yes, Tinki, I am old by hobbit reckoning, but age among elves is relative. Compared to elves who came over the sea, I am young indeed. Galadriel and my father came from a different generation altogether. I am from the first to be spawned on these shores. It makes my longing for Eldamar different from those who actually left it.

That is a long tale and will take long to tell!
