INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Unzip this file in "Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online". It should create a folder called "Music" with the .abc files.

I will keep this thread updated with the latest version, so you can always check back here to download the most recent zip.

This is based on the LMBPlaylist2.0.zip.

* removed a bunch of duplicate files (eg, Rohanthemes-Rohan-Drums.abc, and Rohan-Drums.abc)
* fixed some filenames that were erroneously named .txt
* renamed Songlist.txt to 00Songlist.txt, began updating it with more details (filename, parts, title, artist, arranger, notes)
* added songs:

Hooray for updates! These are some wonderful additions to the song set.

I've put together a spreadsheet of the songs in the playlist for my use in organizing Old Winyards. I'll post a link as soon as I get some details in it polished and upload it, but anyway, in doing so I've come across a few things...

- Zip file seems to be missing the Bard's Song files listed among the new additions...
- A couple of times for Old Winyards we've rehearsed "Africa" (africa-part) and there seems to be something off there - not all the parts are in the same key? I haven't figured out yet how to fix that, so thought I'd throw it out there in hopes you know what to do, Astleigh.
- Likewise for The Wild Rover (Wild-part), seems to have a key mismatch in the parts.

While I'm making suggestions, can I request including the LOTR songs I transcribed from http://lonelymountainband.guildlaunch.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6370796&gid=128176 in the next update? :-) And perhaps Andeon's birthday song, once it's ready for performance.

"Africa" and "Wild Rover" do indeed have a key mismatch. You can check this by looking at the comment LOTRO Midi Player leaves in the header. The transpose number should be the same across all the files.

I don't have a quick fix so I've left them as is for now. The best thing would be to re-convert them from the original MIDIs, but I don't have those. It might be possible to transpose the files using some sort of ABC editor or tool, but I don't know how well they'd work with LOTRO ABC files.

For the next update to the playlist, I'd like to suggest adding Kiralynn's set of abc's from http://roll3d6.com/abc/ . We had a chance to rehearse a few of them at an Old Winyards practice and she's got some great pieces there! If Kira agrees to it, I'd like to have these in the playlist so we can easily include them in Old Winyards performances.

Also to be added - since the last update I've finished transcribing two more of the Donald Swann pieces: Errantry and Willow-meads of Tasarinan. I just have two more in the book to do (Namarie and Bilbo's Last Song) and then we can have a concert of the full song cycle! :-)

Hey Astleigh! Keep up the good work, this playlist is great. Got some things I'd like to tell you though.

In kinchat today before Ales and Tales I heard several folks, including myself, mention some things that I thought I'd repeat back to you. The multi files? They confuse a lot of folk (Myself included! Still don't know how to work them!) sooo maybe converting them to single-instrument files would make it easier on some people. Also, grouping all the parts to a song into a subfolder would help out the organization freaks like some people I know... *looks at Lennidhren and smiles innocently*.

As a final note, remember that song Loyal to No-one you transcribed for me? I'd like for you to add it to 3.5 when you release it, so other people in the Band have it, so maybe I can actually play it every once in a while! *laughs* Here's a quick link to it...

Trivia time - the song Annie Laurie included in the setlist is about an ancestor of mine, that is my ancestor was Annie Laurie's mother.

More seriously, I had a question regarding copyright - are some/all of the setlist available to share with other non LMB players? Its not clear to me which are original compositions and which are publicly available e.g. some of these appear on sites like The Fat Lute.
