This had quite the turnout in the sleepy little hobbit village of Woodhall. It was night when we started arriving, so we took to the old elf-encampment above the town on the bluff, lit a fire and played a little music to pass the time until dawn.
Valaraein's harp lessons have brought her much enjoyment, Harperella.
The Bounders of the Shire showed up just before dawn, friends in tow!
Then, things really started going once day broke and it was appropriate hold the event in town... Ale was served - more ale than we could all drink! - there were stories (Valaraein got somewhat drunk and related the story of how she and Alditha were shown up in terms of bravery in the Vile Maw by a pet turtle) and of course music. There was very successful group dancing and lots, and lots, and LOTS of.... OL' WINYARRRRDS!
Lastly... The drunken haze through which many ACTUALLY experienced Ales and Tales this week, thanks to all the excellent home-brews and OL' WINYARDS available!
