Okay, here's what I have jotted down for this year's racing schedule.
Please take a moment to comment. If there were races or courses that you liked better, let me know which one to add and which one to replace. There will only be 8 regular season races and 4 qualifiers, plus 1 tie-breaker if necessary. (Normally the season is 9 races but I won't be hosting in the same month as Weatherstock.)
You will notice that there are no war steed races. Two other Banders have volunteered to host war steed races and fun runs, so I'll leave it to them to post their schedules.
* August: High King's Challenge - Evendim, 62% steeds
* September: Rivendell Challenge - Forsaken Inn to Rivendell cross country, 62% steeds
* October: Haunted Derby - Buckland to Barrow Downs and back, 62% steeds
* November: Shadowfax Sprint - TBD, 68% steeds
* December: Misty Mountain Classic - Misty Mountains, 62% steeds (goats allowed)
* January: Winter Derby - Thorin's Hall, 62% steeds (goats allowed)
* February: Firefoot Sprint - Minas Eriol, 68% steeds
* March: Bywater Steeplechase - Bywater in the Shire, 62% steeds
* April: Mathom and Chetwood Cup qualifier races
* May: (SRC) Mithril and Moonstone Cup qualifier races, Bree Championship Cup
Other events:
* June - Rusham Stampede Rodeo
* October - Windy Acres Ranch Mystery Roleplay Game
* December - Fireworks Festival and Fun Run
Scoring: 1 for judging or participating PLUS 5 win / 3 place / 1 show
Bree Cup: Top 6 riders, plus top 3 from each qualifier race (18 total)

Here is the proposed schedule. I have adjusted it to avoid major holidays. Please let me know if this conflicts with any known in-game events:
Saturdays at 4pm server time (EST):

* April 12: Mathom and Chetwood Cup qualifier races
* May 3: (SRC) Mithril and Moonstone Cup qualifier races, Bree Championship Cup

* June 29 at 3pm - Rusham Stampede Rodeo
* October 26 at 8pm - Windy Acres Ranch Mystery Roleplay Game
* December 31 at 8pm (Tuesday, New Year's Eve) - Fireworks Festival and Fun Run
I realize that some folks may prefer a time later than 3pm on Saturdays. Unfortunately, it's very difficult for me to be online after 4pm.
