Windy Acres Rodeo -- Join the fun!

The Windy Acres riding team is organizing a rodeo and you can join the fun!

The event is scheduled for 3pm server-time (EST) on Saturday, June 29.
The rodeo will take place on the farms of Rusham, Shire homesteads.

The show will include...
* A country music band.
* Rodeo Clowns comedy routine.
* Team penning - herding chickens, donkeys and other livestock.
* A "Best Rodeo Clown" talent show where the audience can join in and vote for the winners!
* Barrel racing on war steeds.
* "Best Wrangler" mounted fashion contest!


Here is the field where the rodeo will take place.

You'll know you're in the right location if Dark Runner is hopping on the fences.

So, now is a perfect time to join the riding team! Who would like to sign up for the rodeo?

If you're not free to show up on Wednesday night practices, that's okay - just volunteer as a hobbit "barrel" or "cow". We'll share a costume with you. If you are a barrel you'll just need to stand where we ask you to and do the occasional emote. If you're a cow, you'll just run around following the lead cow. How easy is that!

This is going to be so much fun and different from past shows! Definitely sign up for a hobbit role if you aren't able to commit to Wed practices, we need lots of them :)

I'm holding off on making any further game commitments for the foreseeable future. About a week ago Real Life took a sharp left turn, and I suddenly have way too much going on, and I don't expect it to settle down for several months at least.

If the timing works out, I'll bring Liserona to be a 'barrel' or whatever, but I can't promise anything right now.

Is there a date/time for this thing? Part timing as a hobbit barrel does sound fun :) count me in, schedule permitting

We'll be able to set a date once we have a location selected and line up a few more willing "barrels" and "cows". Hopefully we'll have the date by Wednesday. We're trying to design the show so that it'll be fun even if the music bugs are still in place.

I (or rather, Charactry or Mundagar) will definitely show up, at least sometimes, as a barrel or cow.
I'd like to try my hand at racing, but my schedule's been pretty hectic lately, so who knows.

Can anyone tell me the name of the hat that looks like a cowboy hat? Is there one on Wardrobe Street?

Are we having a costume contest for attendees? Best cowboy... Best cowpony... Don't we even have someone in the kin already named Barrelrider?

This will be great.

The Adventurer's hat (from the skirmish camp) is pretty cowboy-ish. The Snow-dusted Travelling Hat (from the Winter festival) is pretty much the same thing plus a dusting of snow.

We were thinking of having a fashion/talent contest for Best Rodeo Clown, but I'm sure we could have two contests, another for Best Cowboy?
