I'm off on Tuesday, February 12th for Mardi Gras! That means I'll have time during the day to host an event.
I thought it might be fun to get together, dressed in the colors of the festival - green, yellow and purple - wearing outrageous and bright designs. We could ride in a parade, RPing that we're throwing beads and perhaps actually trade some fun items to folks. We could stop here and there to play Mardi Gras music. Eventually, we can stop at the Bree stage and really get rowdy! Fire-breathing, juggling, holiday emote items, jokes and all manner of silliness.
In character, we can call this the Carnival Ride. It will last about an hour. Wearing masks is a plus!

This sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately Tuesdays are very limited for me as far as free time goes. Between work and my billiards league, i have limited play time on this day. I cant wait to hear what you come up with.

I'll start working on some ABC music for this. If y'all happen to have some nice Mardi Gras ABC music, please post it in Lindale? It would be awesome to have some of the big classics like "Iko Iko".
Do y'all want to have matching horses? I imagine we'll all have our own wild outfits. Mathom Society would match well with Mardi Gras, as would Inn League to a lesser degree. I'd love to see us all on Mathom steeds. It's not to hard to unlock them for anyone who doesn't already have one.

So this event is the 12th and the Race is the 13th....the 13th is at 9.30pmst....I should be able to attend. I can participate I have a yulefest horsie on Lilikate, or judge again, whatever is needed.
As soon as you decide a time for the Parade I will begin wrangling that slot also for the event.
But sometimes life pops up and I cannot get ingame, even though I really want too.
Also I have a couple of lady alts that I need to bring up and level. I would like to offer them to the horsey alt kin. Leodda is my lady from Rohan, and Katiepie is more likened to my rl persona but transported to Middle Earth. Eeek! just noticed I have been waffling, I wanted to actively show Kiralynn my support for all her hard work at creating these fantastic events.

* Try to ride a Mathom or Inn League horse.
* Wear a bright, crazy outfit in the traditional colors of green, yellow, and purple.
* Bring musical instruments, fireworks, slapper fish and other fun roleplay items.
* Meet just outside Bree's west gate.
