Mystery Game Acting Troupe

Since the "Mrs. Potts" mystery roleplaying game was so successful, I'd like to start hosting events like this once every 3 months. It's going to take some effort to design, write, organize and roleplay the stories. I'd love to form a group of people who would like to be available as actors (player-run NPCs) for these events. We can write the stories, plan the events, and design wardrobe together. The troupe can have people available at different times so that events can be hosted both on weekday evenings and on weekends.

If you are interested in forming a Windy Acres acting troupe for the purpose of providing high-quality roleplay events for Landroval players, please reply to this post. Let me know how you would like to participate (IE: acting, story writing, etc.) and what times you are available.

Let's see if we can generate enough interest to get this ball rolling!

I would love to be a part of this. Getting back into RP would really bring me a lot of pleasure. Of course much depends on the time of the events and the lessening of some of outside pressures.

I'd like to participate, but even though I am terrible at RP, I am better at it than writing. So, I will sign up for being an actor.

Please take a moment to answer the poll. If you want to be an actor and take the role of a player-controlled NPC, great! If you just want to show up and play the game, please vote for that option. I'm trying to measure interest to see if it's worthwhile to host one of these every three months or so. Thanks!

They would love to be stars of the show, or any roles available.

I (Emylot) would be interested in joining the troupe and helping in anyway possible. With any of my characters or roll another if it's required for a part.

For the server, I am branched out on Crickhollow and Laurelin but can make more alts (FUN FUN!!!) if needed...
I am terrible at writing detailed and indebt stories that require you to infer from speech or actions, so I will give a nay on the helping with the story writing, unless there is quite literally no one else willing, then you will have to make do with me. :P

I don't know if I am capable of writing anything but I could be a soundboard or help brainstorm something. Still I am constrained by actual gaming time, but I can help via the forums.

I would absolutely help with staging this on another server, recreating Sigfrothr. It's amusing!

I'm happy to run the mystery game for any group on another server that's willing to provide the set up - properly furnished kin house, a little wardrobe sharing, a couple of volunteers, a little prize money, and some advertising.


So... what should our next mystery story be about?

Maybe it could be about some of our LMB personalities? As for example, some unknown Bander painted the inside of the lovely Aerlinnbar kinhouse a hideous pea green, and the guilty party must be found and forced to paint it back. (I don't remember what color the walls are now, yikes maybe they're pea green already, but you get the idea.)

Why would anyone do such a thing?? Perhaps come up with the actors, then think of reasons for them.

Something to do with horses, but I can't think of what exactly. Stolen horseshoes, pre-race sabotage and gamesmanship? Perhaps actors can be spread out (Windy Acres, Harp & Dragon, Brewery) and not under house-arrest, with clue-finders riding about to talk to them?
