I have found out that the Prancing Pony route line is rather "soft" because riders can ride "through" the Hobbits in the picture. I am working with Kira to remedy this. Also, Kira please edit to 16 entrants please :)

Why not have the checkpoint at the West Bree Gate?

I am going to edit the Prancing Pony picture. I think, like Keli states, that a West Bree checkpoint is in order simply because its a spawn point. I will drop reference of the Prancing Pony. That takes one judge out of the picture.

Kira, give me a couple of days to re-edit.. Will mail pics and then you can go ahead with mass publication.

Here is the main ad with revised checkpoints for riders.

You might want either a checkpoint in the Forest or a judge at the stable in Adso's Camp to make sure participants don't use a stable horse from there to Bree.

Your best bet is going to be to get judges who set milestones or have wayfaring so that they can work multiple checkpoints. After they get screenshots of one location, they can teleport to the next. Also, one judge can watch the camps and milestones on the map to see if any riders suddenly pop-up there.

Here's something that would help all races - is there a way to show skills (spells) as they are being cast on the raid view? We would see them activating wayfaring (I hope).

So, just to be clear - between those few checkpoints the route is completely open? Any route you like?

Yep. Standard racing rules, except Tinki is allowing goats.

For my Landroval Times report I am assuming that the 777 fun run will not count for the season jockey standings? and is not a Bree Cup Qualifier.

Lol Keli! I can do it in 7 minutes, so you would need to hone your route :). The key is to get out of the forest pretty fast. And the Midgewater swamp will dismount Hobbits fer sure in places, there IS a secret to the swamp water crossings tho.

I dont see how any rider would enter the tunnel and think to reemerge to take the looong way around, and I will not expect officials to enforce the Prancing Pony route after all with the fresh changes.

So rules are; Must enter the tunnel to Old Forest- must enter West Bree gate and must cross finish line as per the picture. And of course no porting nor spawning to sneaky places. (And no speed buffs)

Correct Alde! This is a plain `ol fun run.

Thankee Shamork! and any others who will officiate!

If it was possible to use the MAP and spot spawns in the stable locations or at any campfire, it would be simply 2 or 3 judges at the start, ride with the racers into the tunnel, and then port to the finish line. Of course that would require a summoner! With one official watching the West Bree gate and one official watching the MAP. I wish and hope we could implement that.

The finish line should not be a crowded affair after such a long race. Last years Rivendell to Duillond race was really strung out. And when 3rd place was announced, many just gave up.

The 7th Place rider should be easy to spot. What officials will be cautioned against is announcing 4th-5th-6th as it happens in order NOT to have them jockying for 7th.

If 18 riders register, that leaves 6 officials to fit in raid. I think thats doable. I am preparing hooded cloaks for all officials dyed yellow. Originally I wanted all riders with those but 18 cloaks and dyes is a ton!

Finally, I love to see race announcing in Breeland. But there is always someone who hates the spam. If any want to announce lets see how we could implement that.

I will need 32 gold for this one. I can cover it, but it would hurt some.

If possible I would like to race at this one. But if it occurs that there is need for a judge I'd rather do that. So count me in as a reserve.

This sounds like such a fun race, every time I hear it announced. I would like to help judge if I can. It's still a ways off, so it's hard to be certain, but it's a time when I can be available most weeks.
