Have you read & do you agree with LMB charter?:
Yes
Do you understand that Kin chat channel is for LOTRO and Tolkien related chat only?:
Yes
Use this area to share why you want to join LMB.:
I've dipped out of LOTRO on and off for a long time. I first started playing in the early days of the game when I was a teenager and was part of a few different kins, which have all since been long to history (nothing to do with me!). I loved that sense of community and having quit the game for the last ten years, was hoping to find a stable kin with a passion for Tolkien and Middle Earth.
I love Tolkien, always have, so to be in an environment of fellow Tolkienites would be wonderful. I really like LMB's professional set up with events and community. I remember seeing your band renditions years ago posted on the forums!
Basically I just want a chill community where I can share my favourite Ted Nasmith art.
Player info:
Age Range:
22+
Tell us about any MMO or RP experience you may have (RP is not required for membership, we are just curious): :
I played LOTRO as a champion during the Mirkwood and Isengard expansion, though I was in my early teens and not very good. I've also played abit of WoW in the past.
I love RPG games like the Elder Scrolls, Baldur's Gate and The Witcher. I also enjoy semi RPing in Crusader Kings by Paradox.
I've not had much irl RP experience, though me and my work mates keep saying we must organise a DND group at somepoint.
Please tell us what time zone you are in. (i.e. EST): :
British Summer Time
Character information:
Tell us about your character: :
I must confess I haven't developed too much of a backstory for Annungil yet, he's still developing in my mind!
He is a man of Gondor though and I've always been drawn to the tale of a once proud civilization on it's last legs, holding out against the odds. How Annungil is going to contribute to the Southern Kingdom's survival I'm not yet sure of, but I'm a sucker for hero's who try their best and have a chivalrous heart.
Please tell us of any previous/current kinships you have character(s) in LOTRO. :
Can't remember their names, it was so long ago!
LMB experience:
Were you referred by a current member? Who?: :
Spoke to Linnasyn
Have you ever been to LMB hosted event? If yes, what were your impressions? If no, are you planning on it in the next week? (Highly recommended!):
I've watched the recordings and remember reading about them on the forums and blogs back in the day!
Gameplay preferences:
What activities do you enjoy most in LOTRO? :
Questing, Cosmetics, Dungeons, Housing
Kinship expectations:
What are your expectations from LMB as a member? :
A mature environment that is supportive and just wants to enjoy Middle Earth together.
What do you think your strongest contribution to LMB would be? :
I'm pretty well versed in Tolkien, but love to share it with people- I'm not an elitist! I'm relaxed and happy to help others and enjoy being part of a community.
Tolkien:
Have you read the books or seen the movies? What are your favourite scenes or images? :
I've read the books and seen the movies! There's too many favourite's to count.
I love The Silmarillion and the epic tragedy of it all. The tale of Turin is a wonderfully tragic saga as is the stories of Feanor's sons.
Of course seens like the last march of the ents always gives goosebumps, but there is also something to be said for the small charms of Middle Earth, the gentleness of the Shire and Gandalf smoking pipe weed.
Misc:
Is there anything else not covered in this application that you'd like to share with us? :
I'm a teacher in London, England. I've loved growing up in the lands of Tolkien and feel very blessed to have such a strong connection to his work.
In my spare time I enjoy film and History in which I have an MA.
