Still trying to decide between giving bands longer sets or Round Robin. Opinions appreciated.

Both have their merits.

Some bands need to leave early and whole sets allow them to play enough songs. That's the strength of full sets.

On the other hand, as soon as they are done, some bands will log off immediately reducing the amount of people at the show.
Round robin will still allow everyone to play a lot of songs, so long as they are willing to stay till the end. Also, round robin gets everyone involved and is more fun IMHO.

It also makes the job of MC very easy, as you just introduce all the bands together in the beginning (after announcements).

I'd say round robin. It's often more fun from my experience (e.g. with DNO). cool

I am leaning towards Round Robin Nibs. Have you do the Announcements up front, and then boom.

round robin with the understanding that crazy long songs should be saved for actual sets. you know how some bands like to do things.

We ditched the idea of round robin with Aedon and settled for special 30 min sets for main show. However, some bands who can't make it on main A&T (like Galdwen's Misfits) may do a set during N&N. cool
