re: Cont. the Tale of TTT (Tunes and Thieving Troubadours)

The continuing Tale of the TTT (Tunes and Thieving Troubadours).

After their most recent heist of robbing the Bree Town Vault, Milbar and Carysta went to the maze to find the money that they hid in the maze. To blend in with the other maze patrons, the two picked up the tasks of finding rogue chickens, and finding the lost patrons. As they wrapped up their tasks and exited the maze they had to find a place to hide the loot where it was safe from falling into the wrong hands.

Since both Milbar and Cary were unfamiliar with the city they started exploring. They ran to the prancing pony to see if they could hide it there but only found a small storage area, and Milbar almost got cursed by the Grey Wizard. Also there was a strange man that was glaring at them as they looked about in the back rooms. Even though they didn't find a place, Milbar took the opportunity to pick some pockets to make it into a productive venture, especially for a man that made a mean remark about hobbits.

They left the Pony and went down to the Mess Hall in hope of finding a place in there. But it was a place where the city guard went a lot so it wasn't a good spot. In the meantime a few guards spotted them and they were forced to flee. They turned onto stairs that lead up to a courtyard, grabbing the first open door on their left they jumped into a small room.

Curiously, there were two big doors at the end of the room. Milbar ventured forward as Cary watched the door.

"What do you think is in here?" Milbar asked Cary.

"Probably somewhere to hide." Cary whispered back, "Hurry they are coming back this way!"

Milbar opened the door and closed it once Cary had made it through. When he turned around, he saw bookshelves like he had never seen before. Gold inlays, and expensive furnishings covered everything in this Hall. Hearing the door, which they entered the first room, being hammered on by the guards, the two hobbits ran down the stairs to the bottom floor.

"We have to hide the money now, Milbar!" Cary said frantically.

Milbar looked confused, "I don't have the money except the money i picked off the patrons in the Pony."

They both looked at each other in horror. They had gotten so distracted in the maze they didn't grab the money.

"Well we can hide this here." Cary said taking five steps forward and five steps to the left. "Here under this large tile." She removed a brick which allowed the tile to be lifted. She dug out dirt and put it under one of the rugs, then she took the pouch of coins and put them in the hole and placed the tile back. "Remember this brick has to be removed first."

"Got it, got it, now lets hurry!" Milbar whispered as the brick was placed in its spot.

Just then the door was burst open, and the guards ran in. Using their sleathiness and small stature, they snuck up the other staircase and made it to the outside door. Unfortunately for the guards, they left a soldier guard at the door to make sure no one came out. When he saw the two hobbits, he started to shout but Cary, boosted by Milbar, whacked the guard in the head with her instrument knocking him out.

"Now that's how you play the flute!" Milbar shouted in a hushed tone.

Cary giggled and they left to go to hide in the crowds at the festival.

Nay, we are but honest travelling minstrels! That's my story and I'm sticking to it! *looks around to make sure the Watch isn't looking*
