re: Solve-A-Mystery Auction Donations List

Last year a set of food titles went for $5 and we sold five sets, I believe--if that is enough funds to bring in, then I am fine with donating five sets of food title food to the auction. I could mail them the next day to any winner--not positive yet I will be around on the 24th.

That's a good question. We did 7 last year, so that one of each slot could be dyed.
I figured we could decide how many lots to break the dyes into once we see how many we get.
What do you think?

re: Solve-A-Mystery Auction Donations List

Just some thoughts about maybe other things that might sell? What do you all think?

Did we do any armor sets last year? I have enough pieces to make a nice lvl 100 will user set ... at least one... plus a mini shield and a piece or two of will jewelry thrown in, some teal items, some purple.

Lootboxes? I have some I could donate if you think they would sell.

Gold/silver tokens of DA?

Tomes... like Fate XII or Will V?

Essences? I don't have many left, but not too hard to come by.

Scrolls of warding or battle lore?

Although there are many items that could potentially sell, I am trying to be careful not to make the auction too long. I'm hoping to get the best items that will sell in 30 to 45 minutes.

Lootboxes sell if they are paired with keys, because there is a thrill in opening them similar to scratching lotto tickets. Some rare housing items, steeds, and gear can drop out of lootboxes.

If DA gold and silver tokens are expensive in the auction house (50g+), then certainly we could sell a batch (or two) at the auction.

Tomes didn't seem to do well because you can't skip around, you must activate them in order. If we had a SET of tomes from 1+, they would sell for a huge sum of money, but random tomes aren't as appealing.

Essences that are very expensive (IE: 50 gold or more) in the auction house would probably auction well.

When I polled last year, there really wasn't interest in scrolls. I'm guessing they're too easy to come by?

If we end up with "leftover" auction items, I'll have a second charity auction in December with the Parade of Lights.

Donations can be sent to me. I am storing them in the chest at Windy Acres Ranch, so they're very handy for the auction.

Reputation items of values less than 700 will be sold in order to buy x700 items. We need to use the largest value items because otherwise we overfill the winner's mailbox trying to send them the items.

I am also starting to decorate the houses in preparation for an advertising video shoot. More info on that when the time comes.

Dazzlebelle will make some music mentor sheets. She is just Level 34 so she can only make 3 types. She made one yesterday so she has to wait 10 days to make the next one, etc. What is the last ditch date that you need them by? Dazz will send them off before that date!

Hmm, perhaps we could arrange a fun-run to collect some rep items? Or, perhaps a warsteed run to raise gold to buy some?

re: Solve-A-Mystery Auction Donations List

I was also going to ask about the stat tomes, as I have Vit I, IV and VII sitting around. Not sure how difficult it would be to find folks with the others in between to put together a full set. I also have Might I and Will II if someone else has -most- of those, but either of those are the one missing to make a set.

I also have some unbound bits that I'm not sure if they would be of interest:
- 2 Relic Removal Scrolls
- 3 small Star-lit crystals
- 40 Slayer & Skill Deed Boosts (90 min) (removes the skill cap per day during use)
- 35 Soldier Summoning Tokens (1 min in-combat in-skirm use, CD is 1 min)
- 5 Tomes of Continuing Marks Acquisitions (25% for 90 min for skirm or world join instances)

I can also make some mentor manuals to fill in some spots with my mid level mins (I don't have a min above 43), (clarinet, horn, pigborn, 2 can do harp--one can also mentor drum).

As to lootboxes and keys, I have around 20 unbound keys and lootboxes ranging from Tier bronze - elf-steel and 1 calanard. I imagine most folk wouldn't care for the bronze, and possible barrow since they're the easiest to get from deeding. But am still happy to donate one set of box + key per each tier I have if you think they will help the auction.

Please let me know if any of this will be helpful.
