re: Suggest a location for Ales and Tales!

It is a nice spot, and the area just past the camp is pretty much safe. We do have a nice location right inside the gates of Norbury picked out.

re: Suggest a location for Ales and Tales!

Does this have to in a very specific area of the North Downs?

One spot that I like is Mincham's Camp, which is a safe ride/run just past Trestlebridge, doesn't have mobs around, but overlooks a fairly spo-o-o-ky area, which would be appropriate so close to Halloween.

Are we doing Oct 7 and Oct 21 for the final two chapters of Molly's tale? The current A&T spreadsheet says otherwise, so just want to clarify before wrangling for actors at the kin meeting.

re: Suggest a location for Ales and Tales!

Scouted the area,
In the treasure hunters camp there is one good spot, but the grass is high there Saw no mobs on the road to the Norbury gate till almost at the gate. Orcs and wargs. Once past the gate, no mobs till after the Treasure Hunters Camp. Mobs level 25-26. There is a roving threat in the area, but it is much further in.

There are also a couple of spots outside the Treasure Hunters camp that would serve.

There is also one really nice spot in the town of Trestlebridge way to the back. Room for bands and dancing. And within the town so safe. The smoke or mist that lay over the town give a nice effect as well.
I posted a shot of each location on our discord under LMB cafe.

So, which sounds good Molly?

Sounds good Molly, I will scout a couple of areas close by. So looking forward to the story continuing.

Ok, how about October 7 for Chapter 5, and then Oct. 21st for the finale?

The location for October 7 wouldn't matter, any will do.

For Oct. 21st, if not Amlaith's Scar, then somewhere around Trestlebridge would be nice, or Amon Raith as Byrcha suggested.

Thank you!

Edit: Oh wait, Mincham's Camp?

There's also Treasure Hunters Camp (spooky, short run from T-bridge), Amon Raith (slightly less spooky?), and Lin Giliath (Elfy); all are safe, and two have a stable IIRC.

What about somewhere nearby, such as on/near the bridge that the road crosses on the way to Esteldin, or maybe at the farm west of there (there are mobs nearby)? Or perhaps at the farmstead east of that river, the one with the windmill (not far from Esteldin stable) -- it's a quest hub so I think mobs are non-existent (though not far away).

re: Suggest a location for Ales and Tales!

That should be a doable location.I try not to go out past Trestlebridge these days because it drops attendance, But most bands can even be summoned to the area of the North Downs that is in. Looking at oct 7th or 21st. Which would you rather have? Could try to do Stoneheight area on the 7th then wrap the story up at BBB Tree on the 21st?

But it seems to me that is a mob heavy area,

I took a ride though Amlaith's Scar area. Bears, wolves and wargs in no small number. This really is not a good area for a show, would spend half the time fighting off mobs, including a roving threat by the way. And a lot of our bands would not bring their low level alts in. Is there another good area?

I am available on the first- and third-Mondays of each month. I might also be available on Sept 30.

Chapter 5 of "The Sundering of Arnor" is ready, and working out the kinks in Chapter 6, the finale. Could we have A&T at Amlaith's Scar in the North Downs, some week when the Chief Boss Lady is available too?

Amlaith's Scar is near Stoneheight. I think it's pretty safe for lowbies. https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Amlaith%27s_Scar

We use sandcastle Island at least once a year. It is always a nice swim.

Beach Party on the list Nibs, Was thinking of this for a kin event though. Perhaps an Ales and Tales would be better.
