I saw the "advertisements" for the Lonely Mountain Band and a couple of other kinships in the Landroval area of the LotRo website. Your kinship seemed the most interesting and fun because of your many events. I've also seen many of your members running around in Middle Earth so your's seems to be a large kinship, which appeals to me because I work from home and this game provides me with a social outlet. I met one of your members while I was in Bree on one of my alternate characters, and asked her a few questions about your kin. (I cannot remember her name, but she was very nice.) Talking with her in a role-play manner was fun and her behavior convinced me that your kinship was the place I wanted to be.

LotRo is my first MMO, which I started playing four years ago on the Silverlode server. I stopped playing it shortly before Mirkwood went live and played World of Warcraft for a couple of years. I learned how to role-play while playing WoW and enjoyed it immensely. I returned to LotRo at the end of last year, but people on Silverlode discouraged role-playing and were even quite abusive toward those who did. I then went through a period of creating characters on different servers with a mind to transfer my hunter main when I found a server that had a large population and were friendly toward role-players. (I didn't realize there was a "role-play encouraged" server until I got discouraged by my experiences on the other servers and finally started researching on the main lotro web site. I wish I had done this research earlier.)

Pennirose is a young lore-master from Gondor. I am still formulating her back-story, tossing about different ideas, but haven't yet landed on one. I do know that both of her parents are still alive, but have not decided what prompted her to leave home and venture out into the wider world.
I also have a hunter whom I transferred from Silverlode, but since I played her so long ago, I don't have a social history with her in the role-play sense. I decided to start over with a brand new character (Pennirose) whom I can grow up with as she levels.
Please tell us of any previous/current kinships you have character(s) in LOTRO. :
I was in a kinship on the Silverlode server before I went on hiatus from the game, but it had dis-banded while I was gone and I cannot remember its name.

Yes, and elf lore-master, but I cannot remember her name.
Have you ever been to LMB hosted event? If yes, what were your impressions? If no, are you planning on it in the next week? (Highly recommended!):
Yes. I attended a concert in Bree last Sunday on my hunter. The band was comprised of Lonely Mountain Band members, and there were many of your kin in attendance. I enjoyed their music and the role-playing of the members in the audience. I also attended the Ales and Tales event last Monday. I had a great time and plan to attend every event I am able to.

What are you expectations from LMB as a member? :
My only expectation is friendliness and respect of the members toward others. I hope to meet like-minded people to play with and to hopefully become friends with.
What do you think your strongest contribution to LMB would be? :
I am a mature and optimistic person. My hunter is an explorer and can contribute materials toward other crafters, if desired. However, I most likely will stop playing her except as a resource until my lore-master gains enough levels to be of help as a crafter. Otherwise, my strongest contribution will be my good cheer, friendliness and desire to be of assistance toward others. I would also like to help out with your events, if I of need.
Tolkien:
Have you read the books or seen the movies? What are your favorite scenes or images? :
I have read The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings several times over the years, and have watched the extended DVD versions many times. There are so many scenes I like, and an unable to decide on which is my favorite.

Is there anything else not covered in this application that you'd like to share with us? :
Your application is quite thorough, and I haven't much to add except for some personal information that may or may not apply. My husband and I recently moved from the west coast to the east coast, and we both work from home. I am fortunate in this regard; however, working from home makes it hard to have a social life, especially since we are new to this area. I work west-coast "banker's hours", which means I am still working during the "social hours" of the east-coasters. Playing an MMO provides me with this social life.

Welcome to the madness that is the LMB. My advice is to avoid BBB shows in the future, as you run the risk of ruining your reputation. It's Beorbrand, see? He's just sooooo like the BBB donkey it's not funny. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha... oh, sorry. No laughing.
