I have already been a member in LMB on my warden (Framberra) several months ago. However, since I was also an officer in The Alliance, I had little time to play my warden and get to know the kinship. The social aspect is quite important to me so I felt that I would never fully enjoy my time here without sacrificing my Alliance time, which would cost me some friends and respect as officer, so I left.

Now however, the leader of the Alliance has been making some strange and unpleasant decisions, and I feel the kinship is falling apart. I tried to save it along with a few other officers, but last night he decided to appoint a replacing leader for the time that he was absent in the next few weeks. No problems with that, except that he chose someone who had left the kin a few weeks ago while throwing a tantrum and causing a lot of drama, then came back and mysteriously got promoted to officer. I could not accept that and left the kinship, and here I am.

I hope that I can stay this time and make some new friends here. I have no doubt that LMB is better organized than the Alliance, and I hope to contribute my part as a member (or potentially even future officer).

I started with Runescape many, many years ago... Since that I've played mostly non-RP / non-MMO games like shooters, racing games, but the past few years I've tried a few of these again: SWTOR, DDO, LOTRO of course (been playing almost non-stop for 4 years now), ESO...

Tell us about your character: :
Fordil is a lvl 100 minstrel, started in january 2013. Most of his time so far has been spent helping kinmates and friends through crafting, advice or grouping: whenever Fordil can help, he will. Having no wife or kids greatly helps because that saves him a lot of time ;)

No, but I used to be a member several months ago on Framberra, my warden.

Have you ever been to LMB hosted event? If yes, what were your impressions? If no, are you planning on it in the next week? (Highly recommended!):
So far I've attended Weatherstock and a few minor events while I was a member, but I love to group up with friends and kinnies, for instances/raids/skirms as well as other social activities! So far I have no idea about any LMB activities coming up, but I'll gladly participate if I can!

Gameplay preferences:

What activities do you enjoy most in LOTRO? :
Grouping, helping others, discovering places (both new and old)

Kinship expectations:

What are your expectations from LMB as a member? :
I expect a social kinship where I can feel at home, talk to people help them but also get helped when I need it. As mentioned before, the social aspect is quite important to me.

What do you think your strongest contribution to LMB would be? :
I have quite a good memory when it comes to things I don't need IRL, so I know a lot about the game (even written a starter's guide). With that knowledge I help a lot of people, both newbies and veterans. I also craft and do some grouping, although my crafting is currently limited to a maxed tailor and a westfold metalsmith in training. More vocations underway when I get the time to level my alts.

Tolkien:

Have you read the books or seen the movies? What are your favorite scenes or images? :
I've read LOTR, the Hobbit, Children of Hurin and the Silmarillion, also seen all the movies. I loved them, however I think I would have loved them more if they sticked more to the original story and lore. I'm not one to nag about details though.
My favorite scene from LOTR is when the fellowship flees from the Chamber of Mazarbul to the exit, with the horde of goblins everywhere around them, and of course the Balrog at the end of that scene. It shows us the vastness of Moria and how badly it is infested with vermin, it speaks to my imagination...
In the Hobbit I liked the part beheath the Misty Mountains best where Bilbo is having the riddle contest with Gollum, and the dwarves escaping from the Great Goblin.

I have 9 alts of which I hope to bring most with me, if that's not a problem.
